We understand that you are interested in the Laborer’s Apprenticeship program. You can prepare for your apprenticeship with the Laborers’ by accessing your ACT scores if you have graduated high school within the past 5 years. If not, you will have to provide Accuplacer test scores for both Reading and Arithmetic. These scores will vary depending on where you take the tests. All scores need to be within the last five (5) years. If you do not have scores, you will find information on where take Accuplacer tests and you can choose from the following options below.

You may contact and test at any local Technical or community college near you. They will ask you for an Authorization to test letter, that is the Notice of Apprenticeship letter attached. Below you will find options to test: 1. Test with us at the Training Center in Deforest. Check the link for the testing process. https://liunawisconsin.org/apprenticeship-testing Testing will be done upon contractor request. 2. Test at your local technical or community college. There is a fee for all technical college options. Links and phone numbers are below. a. Gateway Technical College - offers both in-person and virtual testing via ZOOM. Participants need a computer with a camera and internet. They can call gateway and schedule a virtual testing appointment at (800) 247-7122. b. MATC- (Milwaukee Area Technical College) offers both in person and remote testing options. To make a testing appointment, E-mail assessment@matc.edu or call 414-297-6233. c. Madison College - offers both in-person and remote testing options. Please contact Madison College Testing Center. d. WCTC – Go to www.wctc.edu/testing to register for testing. Testers will need to have internet, computer, and webcam. In-person or zoom options. e. Gateway Technical College in Racine. WRTP | BIG STEP offers Accuplacer testing for Milwaukee and Madison and surrounding areas. Depending on the location, you can take the test either in person or remotely on ZOOM. a.
